| 2005 - Graduate of Concordia University, Austin, Texas |
| 2005 to 2008 - Student at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana |

Christian Martial Arts", a book on Christian martial arts, was authored by J. Brown and published by Agape Publishing. |
| 2007 - Received 7th degree black belt in Issho-ryu karate |
| 2008 - Ordained and received first call to Praise Lutheran Church, Ft Wayne, IN |
| 2008 - Published second book: "Breaking Barriers" (Tri-Pillar Publishing) |
| 2009 - Opened Trinity Martial Arts Club at Praise Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, IN |
